Monteras

The monteras is the traditional hat of bullfighters and flags. It is tailor-made by the tailor. There are two types of mountain: lace mountain or morilla mountain.

The mountain is black on the outside and the interior can be of different colors, with the name embroidered, if requested.

The mountain is used during the pass and during the first two-thirds of the work. It was introduced to bullfighting clothing in 1835 by Francisco Montes "Paquiro" and has since undergone few variations.
